Morning Warrior: Institutional Flow & Opening Range Precision

The first 30 minutes of the New York session aren’t just trading volume—they are a battleground where institutional sentiment sets the floor and ceiling for the day. My Morning Warrior indicator is a high-precision toolkit designed to map this “Opening Range” (ORB) and provide clear, actionable targets for 0DTE SPY/SPX traders.
Built with a focus on analog-style clarity and technical precision, this indicator strips away the noise to focus on what matters: Price Action and Key Levels.
Core Framework
- The Foundation (OR High/Low): Dynamically plots the initial 30-minute range, establishing the day’s breakout and breakdown zones.
- The Pivot (Midpoint): A critical “Line in the Sand.” Staying above the midpoint favors bulls; staying below favors bears.
- Institutional Alignment: Integrated VWAP and EMA tracking to ensure you are trading with the trend, not against it.
- Tiered Targets (T1–T5): Mathematically derived expansion levels (Teal for Bull, Maroon for Bear) to provide clear “Take Profit” zones and risk/reward management.
- The No-Trade Zone (The Chop): A clearly defined neutral zone starting at 11:45 AM EST. This feature identifies high-noise areas where probability is lowest, helping you avoid “over-trading.” I added this because I didn’t start day trading to sit at my desk all day! Most moves happen in the morning or after 3 PM EST.
The Signal Logic
The CALL and PUT signals are engineered for speed and reactivity. By focusing on raw price action relative to the Opening Range, the script identifies high-probability entries the moment a trend is confirmed, reducing the “lag” common in standard momentum oscillators. While the signals are fast, elite execution requires discipline: always look for confluence or wait for a retest of the level before committing capital.
Visual Philosophy
Designed for the modern “Builder,” the interface prioritizes scannability.
- Bold Range Lines: Inspired by technical drafting, keeping the chart’s “Old World” aesthetic clean.
- High-Contrast Labels: Immediate identification of price targets on the right-hand axis.
- Clean Signal UI: Minimalist triangles ensure you never miss a trigger during high-volatility windows.
How to Use
- Wait for the Range: The script identifies the battleground in the first 30 minutes.
- Watch the Breakout: Look for a candle close above the OR High or below the OR Low. Depending on market conditions, you can also enter trades on EMA, VWAP, OR High/Low rejections or bounces.
- Follow the Warrior: Utilize the CALL/PUT signals in alignment with the EMA and VWAP for high-conviction entries.
- Pay Yourself: Use the tiered T1, T2, T3, T4, and T5 levels to scale out of positions.
